A vintage French 18k yellow gold ruby and diamond retro brooch - a flared dome shape of stripes of gold set with alternately spaced bead set rose cut and brilliant cut diamonds below a triple row of bright pinkish red baguette cut rubies finished with a double pin fitting with a single hook to the hinged pin at the back and a reverse direction short spike pin - marked with French gold standard marks for 18k gold to the body and the pins at the back - rubies 27=4.50cts (est) good quality good colour and clarity - diamonds 30=0.10cts - total weight 19.3grms - overall dimensions 35 x 31mm - c.1940 France
