An antique 18k yellow gold leaf and wreath locket fringe brooch featuring three large grape leaves and flowers within a horse shoe shaped rope style wreath and a bow or knot design to the base set with three emerald paste stones and decorated with a graduated articulate fringe to the base and finished with a c clasp closure to the hinged pin at the back - it also has a fully enclosed gold oval locket compartment to the centre of the brooch which can be accessed from the back - marked for Lamborn and Wagner of Melbourne - total weight 16.2grms - overall dimensions 69 x 35mm - c.1870 Australia
