An antique Art Deco rectangular Platinum and 18k White gold diamond brooch. A beautifully designed and executed pin with a crossbar design of 9 semi modern old European cut diamonds bead set in Platinum on 18ct white gold within a border of alternating single cut and rose cut diamonds creating an open rectangular design and finished with a European sheath style closure to the hinged pin at the back. A crisply finished Art Deco Pin of great proportions; big enough to be noticed but not vulgar and overly complex, It has lovely textural qualities that have been brought to the fore with the use of different cuts of diamonds in different parts of the design - unmarked - diamonds 1=0.47 H/VS2, 2=0.78cts G/VS-SI, 6=0.43cts, 24=0.32cts - total weight 5.6grms - overall dimensions 32 x 16mm - c.1925 Europe
